Holley LS Fest 2016: Horsepower Galore!

Published On September 20, 2016 |

The 2016 Holley LS Fest is officially over! Three days in beautiful Bowling Green, KY that’s packed with more horsepower than you can shake a stick at. Every make and model of car was on display or racing – all LS powered!

If you’ve never been to this show, add it to your schedule for next year. There’s literally non-stop action everywhere that you look. If you want to sit and relax, the show-n-shine is perfect for you. Or you can watch the all the autocross action taking place on the circle track. The autocross course was taken down and transformed into a drift course later in the day – a site to see of burning tire smoke and roaring LS engines.

If you prefer to keep things in a straight line the drag strip is located directly behind the autocross. There was heads up racing, COPO classes and more – all LS powered of course! The drag racing was going strong all weekend long, having to race late into Sunday to catch up.

Even with all that going on, there was even more activities to see. A complete engine swap challenge where two teams swapped from a SBC to LS in a timed event. There was also a dyno challenge behind that, where your money meets the road to see who has more horsepower.

The weather all weekend was hot and clear, except for Saturday afternoon where a sudden downpour for an hour or so left everything and everybody soaked. That didn’t deter racers though, who made up time on Sunday to finish and figure out who’s the best.

Check out all the pictures and make sure to come out next year! Or if you’re on the West Coast, check out the Holley LS Fest West in Las Vegas, May 5th, 6th, and 7th! You can bet we will be there.
